Now this is my kind of NYHC. Ad Rock's pre-Beasties band in case you didn't know already. Ripped from a recent boot. If this 7" was going to get an official reissue, I imagine it would've happened a long time ago. Since originals start at $300US, this will do me just fine.

THE CONTROL - S/T EP (2000)
Screamy (but not screamo, let's make that clear!) Hardcore from Buffalo, NY. Remember when this sound was all the rage in the early 00's? Crazy to think this came out a quarter century ago. I bought this 10" on a whim last fall because it was cheap. No regerts.

VA - Another Shot For Bracken LP (1986)
"This decent North American comp has something for every musical taste: powerful hardcore, funnypunk, melodic rock, reggae, a 70’s cover and a couple of mid-tempo standard tunes. F.O.D., A.O.D., DISSONANCE, and SCRAM stand out from the pack, but there could have been better tracks from the name bands overall."

After finding their singles collection last year, I was stoked to come across another Undead record the other day. This one compiles previously unreleased songs recorded between 1984-86. Is it just me or do these guys kinda sound like GG Allin fronting Mourning Noise?

THE UNDEAD - Never Say Die! LP (1989)
Found this collection 12" of The Undead's first three hard to find EP's still sealed at a local shop last week. I was only familiar with one of their songs (In Eighty Four) but I knew they were fronted by former Misfits guitarist Bobby Steele so I snagged it since it was reasonably priced.

Obscure short-lived NYHC that is probably best known for being the first band Paul Bearer from Sheer Terror was involved in. Ripped from the 2011 7" reissue. "The Masses" also appeared on the 1983 comp 'BIG CITY - AIN'T TOO PRETTY'.

VA - CBGB'S 1982 CD (2002)
I was lucky enough to score one of these CD's off the Ratcage Records website 19 years ago as they only made a limited number of copies. Recently someone messaged me on Discogs offering me a lot of $$$ for it and if I was hurtin' for cash I might have taken them up on it. But I'm not at the moment so I figured I'd just share it on here instead. The CD itself is only 3 tracks (the full set by each band), but I spliced it up by song the best I could as live recordings can be a bit tough sometimes. If you'd prefer the tracks by set and not by song let me know. Enjoy!

PRIMITIVE PACT - Acid Rain demo tape (2015)
UK82 worship from NYC. Been a fan of this band since I first heard their 2012 demo. They also have out a four song 7" EP that's a total ripper. I don't usually post new stuff on here but I haven't seen it anywhere else online and I think the physical copies are all pretty much sold out. My copy is from the Ukrainian repress.
