Another one of those bands I've heard of but never actually heard until recently. Originally from Arcata, California these guys moved around to a bunch of different cities until finally settling down in Vegas (yes, they're still around!). Clearly they were big D.O.A. fans because not only did they cover New Wave Sucks, they also got Joey Shithead to produce 'Apartheid'. Since the cover of this 12" has INCLUDES BONUS 9-SONG 7" EP "SCARY ACTION" stamped on it, I'm throwing that on here too. Merry Xmas!

VA - Killed By Hardcore CD (2001)
Great compilation chock full of lesser known and underrated bands from around the world. Put out by the same label that released all those Killed By Death comps. Even thought I've owned this since the early 00's, it's only in recently that I've grown to truly appreciate foreign HC. I really wish I hadn't waited so long to discover the back catalog of bands like Lama and Colera, but it's not like I could find their records in the local shops anyways. This originally came out on vinyl but I ripped this from the CD version, also known as the "Yuppie Edition".

FRÆBBBLARNIR - Bjór EP (1981)
Stoked to finally own this long out-of-print slab of early Icelandic punk. I posted a Killed By Death comp that featured a couple songs from it two years ago. As I mentioned in that post, I discovered these guys when I saw them live in Reykjavik back in May 2013. The pics below was taken at that gig by yours truly. This 7" was never released with a cover, just one of those thin paper sleeves. So yeah, it's got some scuffs but I cleaned it up the best I could. Considering the band is still around, I'm a bit shocked it's never been reissued.

VA - Order Of The Kite Volume One CD (2001)
Bootleg comp of rare Japanese HC 7"s and flexis from the 80's. You'd probably pay an upwards of a grand to own all of these records separately but here you can find them all on this compact disc for one low low price! Act now!

RUSTY NAILS / SLUDGE - Split EP (1994)
Picked this 7" up last week at the Rusty Nails reunion show. Turns out they had a bunch of these still kickin' around from back in the day. Released by Club Grotesque Records, the same label that put out the "Wade-Free Vancouver" comp that featured both bands. The drummer for Rusty Nails currently plays in DOA while members of Sludge would later play in Hong Kong Blonde and Old Man Strength. You can check out more of Sludge's back catalog on BANDCAMP.

THE STAKEOUT - Disco-Graphy Of Turku City tape (20xx)
Hey, remember last year when I posted this Finnish band's killer '6 Song EP'? You probably wanted to hear more of their shit, right? Well here's everything they've ever recorded, sucka! You're welcome!

DESTRUCKTIONS - Complete Destrucktions LP (2007)
It's been a minute since I last posted some Finnish hardcore. These guys only released one LP "Vox Populi" in 1983 and appeared on a few compilations, all of which can be found on this record as well as some demos.

VA - Cottage Cheese From The Lips Of Death LP (1983)
Even if you're not familiar with this comp, I know you're familiar with at least some of the bands on here. Personally I think the best song by far is 'Nobody Rules' by Really Red. I ripped this from CD, which I'm pretty sure is a bootleg but it still sounds good so don't worry.

VA - KILLED BY CANADA 2XCD (2006)
Another killer comp by Fans Of Bad Productions. In fact, it's the last one they put out, but it's a doozie. Something for everyone here, hosers.

SECRET V's - S/T EP (1980)
Catchy Vancouver power pop that wouldn't have sounded out of place on a bill with the Pointed Sticks or Modernettes. They put out another 12" EP the same year that featured the track "Waiting For The Drugs To Take Hold", which was recently included in the Georgia Straight's Top 50 list of best songs to come out of Vancouver. This 12" was released on Friends Records, the same label that put out D.O.A.'s first two LPs, "Incorrect Thoughts", "Vancouver Independence" and Randy Rampage's solo EP. After the Secret V's disbanded, their bass player went on to have a career in rockabilly as Ray Condo.

THE GLORY STOMPERS - S/T 2xEP (1993)
Debut double 7" from this long defunct Edmonton pogo punk outfit. They released another 7" and an LP before trimming down to a 3 piece and becoming a straight up Oi band. Singer Greg later moved to Vancouver and kept the street punk sound in his later projects (Subway Thugs, The Lancasters, Alternate Action and currently Bishops Green).

Montreal Motörpunk that featured members of Inepsy and Truncheons. Only 74 copies of this tape were made for their 2015 Mexico tour and included their three 7" singles as well as some unreleased songs. Even though it's listed, 'Fountain Of Youth' is not actually on this tape if anyone cares.

VA - GO! 47 CANADIAN HC BANDS CD (1997)
This compilation is kinda like the sequel to "Fuck The Commonwealth" as it features a lot of the same bands from that record. One of my personal favourites on here is the Blundermen's killer cover of the 4 Skins' "Chaos". How come no one puts out comps like these anymore?

HIGH CIRCLE - 6 Track EP (1985)
Like Chain Reaction, I discovered this Italian band from the 'Love/Hate' compilation. I found a copy of the third pressing for a decent price even though it's long out of print. With all the reissues coming out in recent years I'm surprised no one's re-released it. They also put out two more albums with a different singer and a bit more of a post hardcore kinda sound.

BLACK MARKET FRUITS - Demos (1995-96)
HUGE thanks to Chris Iller who ran Canadian punk/HC label Fans Of Bad Productions for sending me these long lost demos last week. It was through compilations he put out back in the 90's like "Fuck The Commonwealth" where I first heard this Victoria band. I've always wanted to hear more from them and for years I searched online to no avail. Although it's a shame the Fruits never had a proper release at least they left behind these recordings. It only took me two decades to finally hear them but hey, better late than never eh?

THE OATH / TOTAL FURY - Split EP (2002)
Out of all the split 7"s Total Fury have been on, this one here is by far the best. I say that because I think it's the closest they've come to matching the intensity of their classic "13 Songs" record. The Oath side is nothing to sneeze at either.

DISSENT - Attention... It's The End EP (2005)
Final release by this local NYHC-influenced band whose members have played in many other groups in Vancouver over the years. I know I saw these guys at least once back in the day but I'd never actually heard any of their recorded output until I recently bought this 7". They at least put out two other EP's and appeared on some comps during their 1995-2005 existence.

DEVOUR - Insect Circuitry EP (2010)
Been meaning to post this 7" for about 5 years now but kept getting sidetracked with other stuff. These guys were from Raleigh, North Carolina and must have grown up listening to hometown heroes C.O.C. because they do remind me of them (their early stuff anyways). Members also played in Cross Laws and Logic Problem. Their only other release was a S/T 12" MLP on Sorry State records that came out in 2008.

VA - Vancouver Evolution EP (20??)
Bootleg 7" comp of some of the earliest bands in the Vancouver punk scene. These recordings from 1977-79 were never released until the 1991 Zulu Records double CD "Last Call: Vancouver Independent Music 1977-1988". Although these four bands were short lived, key members would soon go on to form D.O.A., Subhumans and the Pointed Sticks to name a few. Supreme Echo Records is currently working on a Stiffs 7" EP that I think will be out later this year or next.
