Highly underrated band who's members resume include Strike Under, Effigies and Pegboy so expect that classic Chicago sound. Also got this one cheap and in decent shape at that record fair where I found the previous post.

PUNCH IN THE FACE - At War With Everybody LP (2007)
WOW! I can't believe I slept on this band all these years! That's what I get for judging a record by it's cover I suppose. Nothing wrong with the actual art itself, but at first glance I'd except something more I dunno... post hardcore or screamo sounding perhaps? Even knowing that they were fronted by Ebro from Charles Bronson, Los Crudos and currently Affront. Shame on me.

CÜLO is back! Kind of... Well, 3/4 of them are anyways. They've got a bit of a different sound going here (and a bass guitar) but they still remind me of their previous band at times. CÜLO - My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down Demo EP (2013)
On Cülo's Myspace page(remember Myspace?!), they list only two bands as influences, The Ramones and Discharge. Which kinda sounds about right. This is the vinyl version of their 2nd demo tape, originally released in '09. I love that they used soundbites of Return Of The Living Dead, Rock & Roll High School and Repo Man between songs. Seems like bands don't do that enough anymore.

THE EFFIGIES - Live Radio Broadcast (1981)
Since my rip of their "For Ever Grounded" LP was one the most popular posts on this blog, I figured some of y'all might be interested in this early Effigies live set. I've since removed that album because it's now available on streaming sites, plus I'm starting to run out of room on my Mediafire account. Sorry.
Anyways, this gig originally aired on WZRD's "Sunday Morning Nightmare" radio show. The exact date and venue is unknown, but I'm assuming it's in Chicago sometime in 1981. The cool thing about this is the song, "Blank Slate", which I don't think was ever was recorded in a studio. Then again neither was "Guns Or Ballots", although a better version can be found on the live compilation, "Busted At Oz".
