BARN AV REGNBUEN - Folk Uten Framtid LP (2006)
Frantic hardcore from the mid 80's that could only have come out of Norway. Hang on... has anyone ever referred to hardcore from Norway as 'Norsecore'? If not I'm coining that shit right now! Anywho, this is the band's discography LP that's got both of their EPs plus compilation cuts, etc...

Long out of print international HC comp featuring some of your favourite bands and some no one's heard of before or since. Ripped from the 2001 CD bootleg that was one big long track. Don't worry, I spliced that shit up for y'all.

BANNLYST - Live At Blitz LP (2011)
Even if you're not into live albums, if you're a Bannlyst fan you'll dig this one as they play the hits and the sound quality is great. At this point most of the members have been playing for years as SO MUCH HATE so they were pretty tight on this night. Recorded in 1992 at the 10th anniversary of the Blitz squat in Oslo.

Progressive HC from Norway that clearly wasn't trying to sound like anyone else. Featuring members of SVART FRAMTID, BANNLYST and KAFKA PROCESS to name a few. Ripped from the 2007 reissue that included a fanzine of interviews.

KAFKA PROSESS - Ingen Fattige, Ingen Rike LP (2000)
Bought this on a whim few weeks back from a shop that sells mainly hip hop and house records. These guys were from Norway and featured members of SVART FRAMTID and SO MUCH HATE. Pretty sure this LP compiles everything they recorded during their short existence in the mid-80's.

VA - Killed By Hardcore 2 LP (2002)
I bought the first Killed By Hardcore around the time it was released, but it was only recently that I finally found volumes 2 & 3. Since these bootleg comps came out a lot of this stuff has been reissued, but there still a bunch of rare shit on here.

VA - Blazing Anarchy Mixtape (2017)
This sampler is a pretty good place to start if you're not familiar with the current HC scene over in Europe. Most of the songs on this cassette comp are previously released, although it does include an unreleased jam by the now defunct DiE, which to me is worth the price of admission alone. Came with a sweet poster too!

VA - Killed By Death Vol. 40 LP (1998)
Like it says on the cover, "strictly no english or american junk". Interesting bootleg comp of rare late 70's to early 80's punk rock, new wave and power pop from countries you may not have even expected from in that time period. Most of the groups on here are European, but South Africa and Argentina are also in the house. The reason I bought this record was for the two songs by Fræbbblarnir, one of Iceland's first punk bands (if not the first). I stumbled upon one of their gigs when I was in Reykjavik back in 2013 and thought they were amazing for a band that looked like a bunch of old college professors. I checked out all the local record shops for any of their back catalog, but no avail. But they aren't the only great band on here. I think my favourite song on this LP is 'Gilmore 77' by Spain's TNT. Amazing bass line!
