Cheap local record shop find from last week. Vinyl reissue of this Pittsburgh band's 1985 cassette. They were only around for eight months but managed to open for the likes of SAMHAIN, THE EXPLOITED, UK SUBS, RAW POWER and AGNOSTIC FRONT. Bassist Alan Peters later had a stint in AF, playing on their 1987 album 'Liberty & Justice For...'.

BANNLYST - Live At Blitz LP (2011)
Even if you're not into live albums, if you're a Bannlyst fan you'll dig this one as they play the hits and the sound quality is great. At this point most of the members have been playing for years as SO MUCH HATE so they were pretty tight on this night. Recorded in 1992 at the 10th anniversary of the Blitz squat in Oslo.

SOLDIERS OF MISFORTUNE - Pay Attention... tape (1996) **UPDATED**
Soldiers Of Misfortune were one of my favorite local acts in the mid to late 90's. They wrote some great tunes and were always fun to see live. This cassette was their only release, taken from two different recording sessions. Tracks 1-11 were from their second recording done at Profile Studios on November 21st 1995. The rest is from their first demo recorded on a 4-track two months earlier. Personally I think the demo sounds way better than the studio tracks. The bass was too loud and the guitar too quiet on that recording and in my opinion doesn't really do the band justice. (Originally posted 6/22/2012)
UPDATE MAY 8, 2023
I wasn't happy with my original rip, so I re-digitized the tape a bit quieter and was able to turn down the bass a bit with a newer version of Audacity.

MAHO NEITSYT - Vuosikymmenen Hävittäminen LP (2019)
There must be a reason these Finns' back catalogue hasn't been reissued considering every other band from that time and place seems to be getting the re-release treatment as of late. This bootleg discography will have to make do because buying all their records will probably set you back at least a grand. Can you think of a band who's singer who sounds more like just the ugliest meanest drunk you never wanna meet? Haha
