Mixtape of 80's Deutschpunk I got free in an online order a few years back. I gotta be honest, when it comes to international punk the stuff from Germany just doesn't quite grab me the way bands from Finland, Italy, Japan or Poland do. Now I'm not saying German punk sucks by any means, it's just to me a lot of it is (as the kids say) MID. Like it's missing something, I dunno. Of course there's many exceptions, some of them on this comp right here. What do you think, am I talking out of my ass?
The kids are not always right. Especially not nowadays. But if they said German punk was "mid" I would agree. Even me and my German punk buds were always looking more towards Finland, Sweden, Italy, Netherlands etc. and of course towards North America. Anyway, there are at least some killer German punk bands. Some of them also on this nevertheless nice comp. Thanks for it!
