I picked this LP up late last year because I recognized them from the 'CANA-CORE' compilation tape I posted back in 2012. Plus I thought the cover art looked cool. Members also played in SONS OF ISHMAEL and DOUGHBOYS.
Nice! I have the original vinyl and saw them back the day. One of the loudest local bands ever. I still have a t-shirt and buttons somewhere as well. There is also an earlier cassette that has some different songs. The drummer went on to the Doughboys while the guitarist had a band named the Punching Nuns in the late 90's & 2000's.
Nice blog. I've got a Melonville Maximum Security Prison Patch from Sctv. The Punching Nuns are still around. We've got an Ep and a newish album up on YouTube, etc. DW, guitar, Nomind.
Posts like this are why I enjoy your blog. I love hearing bands that not as well known but made great tunes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this and keeping the music alive.
Glad you enjoy my blog, means a lot! Cheers
DeleteI've owned that album for since '88 . Way ahead of you Jimmy.....
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say? I'm pretty much late to the party when it comes to... everything! HAHAHA
